Camping in Miryang and Seongnamsa Temple

Denise's last weekend here in Korea we went camping with some friends in Miryang (1 hour train from Haeundae Station) then ventured off to Seongnamsa Temple (40 min gorgeous bus ride from Miryang bus terminal) The camping trip was fun and Denise and I were able to find kind souls to let us share their tents since we didn't have one. We swam in the river and attempted to river raft in what little rapids the river had to offer. The sunset on the river was somewhat magical as the bright pink and orange colors illuminated the background of a large temple on a hill.
Our group of friends always have a blast when we camp together.

From Miryang we took a bus to Seongnamsa Temple which I highly recommend for anyone living here to see. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't get to do Lonely Planet's recommended hike. The temple is situated in the mountains in a densely wooded forest. The area is quite breathtaking and camping is available along the river just near the temple. From Busan you can also take a bus to Eonyang then catch the local bus to the temple. Here are a couple photos I took there.
